The Youth Opportunities For Techical Advancement, or YOTA program is an exciting new program geared towards high school seniors and college students! Through YOTA, you will gain hands on technical experience in the areas of Technical Service and/or Application Development. The core of our program is a real world on the job experience that will lead you to success! At the completion of this course, candidates will receive a certificate stating fulfillment of all the YOTA requirements.

Candidates for this program must meet the following qualifications:
  • 17-24 years of age
  • Willing to commit to 40-45 days of intense study
  • Have a general interest in I/T

Career Paths

Software Developer
Writes code and data structures necessary to contruct full software systems.

System Designer
Interacts with clients to gather their needs, plan out various structures by creating diagrams for the Software Developer.

Network Technician
Installs, troubleshoots, upgrades, and designs LAN, WAN, and MAN systems.

PC Technician
Installs, upgrades, and repairs workstations and servers.

System Administrator
Maintains and oversees user activity, creates user names, and configures new workstations.

Interface Designer
Ensures that the customer will have a pleasureable experience while using the custom software.

Desktop Publisher
Creates an assortment of print media, business cards, and brochures. Masters graphic design, understands marketing concepts, and has high-quality communications skills!
